Affected population
- A total of 1,387,446 families (6,937,229 persons) were affected in 7,488 barangays in 39 provinces of Regions IV-A, IV-B, V, VI, VII, VIII, X, XI, and Caraga
- A total of 66,899 families (319,867 persons) are being served inside 1,135 evacuation centers
Damaged houses
- The number of damaged houses increased to 41,176 houses (21,230 totally/19,946 partially) in Regions IV-A, VI, VIII, X, XI, and Caraga
Roads
- As of 6:00 a.m., November 11, 2013, three (3) roads in Regions VI and VIII remain impassable.
Airports
- Operations in four (4) airports remain suspended: Busuanga, Roxas, Kalibo, and Tacloban
Cost of damages
- A total of P461,199,523.48 worth of damages (P87,997,500.00 to infrastructure and P373,202,023.48 to agriculture) were reported in Regions IV-B, V, VI, VII, VIII, and Caraga
Power interruptions
Power outage is being experienced
in the following provinces and municipalities in Regions IV-A, IV-B, V,
VI, VII, VIII, and XIII:
- Palawan
- Capiz
- Aklan
- Antique
- Iloilo
- Cebu
- Bohol
- Negros Oriental
- Siquijor
- Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar
Communications
- As of November 11, 2013, operating cell sites of Globe Telecom were established; in total, 49% of the affected sites in Visayas and 30% of the affected sites in Luzon and Mindanao have been restored
- “Libreng Tawag” of Globe Telecom was set up at Hotel Alejandro, Tacloban City
Suspension of classes
Nine (9) municipalities in the
Province of Cebu suspended classes in the elementary and secondary
levels from November 11-15, 2013:
- Sogod
- Borbon
- Tabogon
- San Remigio
- Medellin
- Daanbantayan
- Madridejos
- Santa Fe
- Bantayan
State of Calamity
- Dumangas, Iloilo (Res. No. 2013-188), Janiuay, Iloilo, and the Province of Antique (Res. No. 085-2013) were declared under a state of calamity
- Presidential Proclamation No.682 dated November 11, 2013, declaring a State of National Calamity in Samar provinces, Leyte, Cebu, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, and Palawan
Cost of assistance
- A total of P30,675,776.21 worth of relief assistance was provided to affected families in Regions IV-A, IV-B, V, VI, VII, X, XI, and Caraga coming from DSWD (P12,535,985.60), LGUs (P13,875,809.69), and DOH (P4,263,980.92)
Prepositioned and deployed assets
A total of 13,519 personnel, 811
vehicles, 40 sea craft, 24 aircraft, and other assets/equipment from
national and local agencies, responders, and volunteer organizations
were prepositioned and deployed to strategic areas to facilitate
response operations.
